She wants you to get rid of those short skirts and toss out vintage ’80s sweats to make room for a nice pair of inexpensive jeans, a lady-like purse and a dazzling new coat. Also on the way out this fall: “I think we’ve seen enough studs and grommets to last us for a lifetime,” says Garcia, calling from her desk at Marie Claire magazine.
