A sexy smartphone is as much a status symbol as a technology that makes life easier. And as aesthetics go, the Philips X810 is a smooth operator. The “minimal yet iconic” approach, described by designer Trent Stoddard, combines contrasting materials such as stainless steel and rubber. Inspiration came from bars of gold and silver, along with waves and sand dunes, along with detailing modeled after handbag and shoe buckles.
